2014 PROJECT THANKS

2014

For the third year in a row, NAPO-GPC volunteers provided a valuable service to a family who has served our country selflessly for 20 years. The winner of this year’s Project Thanks drawing was TSgt. Sharon Baughman and her husband Darrin. Sharon is currently a member of the Air Force National Guard stationed at Willow Grove. She will celebrate 20 years with the service this July. Her husband Darrin is a disabled vet who served 18 years in the Navy and Reserves, doing tours in Grenada, Lebanon and with Operation Enduring Freedom. He continues to serve his community as a police office in Bucks County.
On December 22 (just in time for Christmas) seven NAPO-GPC members including: Darla Pompilio, Debbie Lillard, Sue Lowry, Deanna Murawski , Carla Shipman, Bet Hambleton and Robin Stankowski volunteered their time to tackle the Baughman’s garage. They’ve lived in the home for just four years with their two daughters and Sharon’s dad. They wanted to carve out a play area in the garage, which was cluttered on both bays when we arrived.  In just one hour the team had the garage cleared and categorized.
