This year 14 NAPO-GPC members participated in an event at Cradles to Crayons. C2C is a charitable group whose mission is to provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.
After a brief orientation, our members were assigned as “shoppers” for those children who had made requests for clothing and other needs. We were given large shopping bags and were asked to search through the requested item bins for the very best item we could find. C2C used the slogan “QUALITY EQUALS DIGNITY” as a guideline in our shopping. To donate items or volunteer at Cradles to Crayons, check out their website.
