What I need to know before joining NAPO-GPC

National Membership
NAPO-GPC applicants for regular membership, must first join at the national level of NAPO to be eligible for local membership. Download the national level membership application or contact NAPO at:

Associate members are not required to hold a National Membership.

Code of Ethics 
All members of NAPO pledge to exercise judgment, self-restraint and conscience in their conduct in order to establish and maintain public confidence in the integrity of NAPO members and to preserve and encourage fair and equitable practices among all who are engaged in the profession of organizing.

Organizers should review the Code of Ethics prior to committing to the association.

Chapter Code of Conduct 
NAPO-GPC members are committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism. To this end, the following Code is observed.

Chapter members:
  • speak and dress professionally.
  • respect the confidentiality of other organizers.
  • listen and speak with respect.
  • expect and manage change.
  • agree to disagree respectfully.
  • bring thoughts or concerns to the most appropriate person.
  • stay focused on the agenda.
  • honor timelines and deadlines.
  • understand that everything that occurs is done by volunteers and that if change is desired, volunteering is the most effective way of bringing it about.

Volunteer Responsibilities
NAPO-GPC is run by its members for its members. To this end, each member is encouraged to hold a volunteer position.

Dues 

  1. Regular Member: An individual doing business in the field of organizing. Regular members are entitled to attend scheduled meetings at no additional charge, vote, hold office, and serve on the Board of Directors.
  2. Chapter Dues (NAPO-GPC): $125 annually with a one-time $25 processing fee. First year dues are pro-rated to accommodate the annual membership cycle of our fiscal year (October to September).

    National Dues: $200 annually with a one-time $20 processing fee. See http://www.napo.net/join_napo/regular.asp for further information.

  3. Associate Member: A company involved in the manufacture, distribution, and/or sale of organizing products. Associate members are entitled to attend scheduled meetings at no additional charge.
  4. Chapter Dues (NAPO-GPC): $300 annually with a one-time $25 processing fee. First year dues are pro-rated to accommodate the annual membership cycle of our fiscal year (October to September).

    National Dues: Range from $150 to $550 annually, with a one time $20 processing fee. See http://www.napo.net/join_napo/corporate.asp for further information.
