Exploring Neuroscience to Help Clients Thrive, Not Just Survive
Dr. Dionne Shnider is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychotherapy practitioner in private practice.
The more insight you have into thoughts, feelings and behavior, the more control you will be able to have over your own thoughts and emotions that could undermine your effectiveness with clients. You can also learn to redirect clients should they get caught up in unproductive self-talk, feelings or behaviors.

Dr. Dionne will share her unique Neuroscience Toolkit to demonstrate how to integrate neurological and cognitive behavioral techniques into our client work — specifically around managing the symptoms of anxiety, depression, compulsive disorders and general mood disorders to promote resilience. We will understand why clients may be behaving/reacting in a certain way, view the Neuroscience Toolkit to see what is included, and learn how and when to introduce it in our work with clients.

  Conference Re-Cap Roundtable

Learn all about what you missed at NAPO’s National Retreat…even if you attended! his is an opportunity for both Retreat attendees and members who couldn’t make it to Chicago to learn what went on in concurrent sessions.

Attendees will share their pearls of wisdom from among the 4 tracks of learning: business growth, experiential workshops for organizers, education and this year’s newest area: self-care.

With enough chapter participation*, we hope to provide at least 3 rounds of recaps: if you plan to attend the National Conference make sure to bring a Conference Session Recap Form (to be shared at April’s meeting and on The Point). This is a great opportunity for new and veteran organizers to present in a small group setting!

* Chapter Member participation required…please email Angie Ficco if you are attending this year’s NAPO retreat.
